Run downstream
Keel stops at the clean handoff. Your ben admin stays the system of record and feeds the carriers.
Illustrative. Example export, representative figures, not a live transmission.
Why it's different

The handoff is where deals go to die.

The old way

Re-key the elections and hope the file loads.

Elections retyped from a spreadsheet into the ben admin.
A hand-built 834 file that gets rejected on a format error.
Errors found weeks later, in a carrier's discrepancy report.
A frantic deadline week every single year.
With Keel

A validated bundle, delivered and confirmed.

Elections flow straight from Keel, never retyped.
Validated against the ben admin's rules before it ships.
Errors caught here, with the fix, not weeks downstream.
A delivery receipt, every record accounted for.

Better together

It does not start from a spreadsheet.

Export pulls clean, validated data straight from the suite. Nothing is retyped along the way.

Questions

The details.

Which ben admins do you export to?
Employee Navigator first, since that is where most of our brokers live. The bundle is built to the standard EDI 834 shape, so it maps to other ben admins as well. Keel captures the elections and hands off a clean file, your ben admin handles carrier transmission and payroll deductions from there.
What if a record has an error?
It is caught at the validate stage, before anything ships, with the specific record and field flagged and a suggested fix. You resolve it in Keel and re-run. The point is that errors surface here, where they are cheap to fix, instead of weeks later in a carrier discrepancy report.
Does Keel send to carriers directly?
No, and that is deliberate. Keel captures the elections and produces the ben-admin-ready bundle. Your ben admin remains the system of record and handles carrier feeds and payroll downstream. We make the handoff clean, we do not try to replace the rails that already work.
What does this do for the broker?
It removes the worst week of your year. No more re-keying elections, no more rejected files, no more chasing discrepancies after the deadline. The round-trip is automated and auditable, so you can take on more groups without taking on more deadline-week risk.
